If you're participating in high-stakes competitive quizzes with time-sensitive answers, we strongly recommend using a tablet or computer rather than a smartphone whenever possible.

What browsers and devices are supported?

Our platform is designed to work across a wide range of browsers and devices, but some combinations provide better performance than others.

Supported desktop browsers (recommended):

  • Microsoft Edge: Version 90 or newer (Chromium-based)

How do I report bugs or technical issues?

If you encounter bugs, glitches, or other technical issues, please report them through one of these channels:

In-app reporting (recommended):

  1. Navigate to "Help & Support" in your account menu
  2. Select "Report a Technical Issue"
  3. Choose the issue category from the dropdown menu
  4. Complete the bug report form with as much detail as possible
  5. Submit screenshots or screen recordings if available

Via email:

Send a detailed description to support@quizwebsite.com with the subject line "Bug Report: [Brief description]"

What to include in your report:

  • Device information: Type of device, operating system, and version
  • Browser details: Browser name and version
  • Account information: Your username (never share your password)
  • Issue description: Clear explanation of what happened
  • Reproduction steps: Exact steps to recreate the issue
  • Expected vs. actual behavior: What should have happened vs. what did happen
  • Time and date: When the issue occurred
  • Error messages: Exact text of any error messages
  • Visual evidence: Screenshots or screen recordings

Bug reporting best practices:

  • Report issues as soon as possible after encountering them
  • One report per issue (don't combine multiple bugs in one report)
  • Check if the issue has been reported in our known issues section first
  • Be specific and factual rather than general ("Button doesn't work" is less helpful than "Login button doesn't respond when clicked")
  • Include the URL where the issue occurred

After reporting:

  • You'll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number
  • Critical bugs are typically addressed within 24-48 hours
  • Non-critical issues may take 3-7 days to resolve
  • You can check the status of your report in the "My Support Tickets" section
  • Our team may contact you for additional information if needed

We greatly appreciate user-reported bugs as they help us improve the platform for everyone. Users who report significant bugs may receive site credit as a token of appreciation.

Can I use the platform offline?

While our platform primarily requires an internet connection for full functionality, we do offer some limited offline capabilities:

Offline features (mobile app only):

  • Practice quizzes: Pre-downloaded practice quizzes can be accessed offline
  • Study materials: Previously accessed learning resources can be available offline
  • Draft quiz creation: You can create draft quizzes offline that will sync when reconnected
  • Offline statistics: View your previously cached performance metrics

How to enable offline mode:

  1. In the mobile app, go to "Settings" > "Offline Mode"
  2. Select content categories you want available offline
  3. Tap "Download for Offline Use" (requires Wi-Fi connection)
  4. Wait for the download to complete (size varies from 50MB to 500MB depending on selected content)

Limitations of offline mode:

  • Competitive and multiplayer quizzes require an active internet connection
  • Prize-eligible quizzes cannot be played offline
  • Leaderboards and social features are unavailable
  • Content is limited to what was previously downloaded
  • Your offline activity will sync when you reconnect
  • Offline content expires after 30 days and needs refreshing

Reconnection behavior:

When you regain internet connection after using offline mode:

  • Your progress and scores will upload automatically
  • New content will download if auto-sync is enabled
  • You'll receive any pending notifications
  • System will check for app updates

Storage considerations:

  • Basic offline package: Approximately 50MB
  • Standard subject package: 100-200MB per subject
  • Complete offline library: Up to 2GB
  • You can manage offline storage in "Settings" > "Storage"

Note that the web browser version of our platform does not currently support offline functionality. This feature is exclusive to our mobile applications, with more robust offline capabilities planned for future updates.
